dingMoney is a simple way to send value to loved ones in Guatemala. dingMoney is a digital balance, held in USDB, pegged 1:1 to the US dollar. dingMoney can then be used by a receiver to spend on top-up and vouchers on ding.com, to share with others, and withdraw as cash using our regulated partner, MoneyGram Payment Systems, Inc.
2. Who provides dingMoney?
Ding has partnered with Bridge and Stripe. All payments made by you as a sender are processed by Stripe Inc., a licenced and regulated money services business. The receiver’s USDB balance is securely held and converted in a digital wallet by Bridge Building Ark Limited, also a licensed and regulated money services business. The cash-out option is provided by our regulated partner MoneyGram Payment Systems, Inc. Ding provides the experience – it is not a regulated money services business. All regulated financial services within dingMoney are performed by licensed third-party partners
3. Where is dingMoney available?
dingMoney is only available to be sent by senders in the U.S. It can be received by anybody in Guatemala who has a phone number and who completes KYC.
4. How does dingMoney work?
A sender in the U.S. can send dingMoney to a receiver in Guatemala using just their phone number. The receiver will get a text letting them know they have been sent dingMoney with a link to allow them to set up their Ding account and complete KYC to claim their dingMoney.
They can then spend their dingMoney on top-up and vouchers on ding.com. They can also withdraw their dingMoney as cash in local currency at a MoneyGram store or share with other Ding users. Conditions will apply.
